ABOUT We were tasked with illustrating the evolution of a species or showing the anatomical difference between related species. I chose to illustrate the muscles of mastication and dentition between modern-day carnivores, herbivores, and omnivores.

PROCESS I used sketches from specimen at the Royal Ontario Museum as a basis for these illustrations, which were done in graphite on coquille board. Determining the anatomy of the musculature required research into the anatomy of related species.
