DESCRIPTION: This sequence describes the difference between competitive and non-competitive inhibitors.
2D Animatic
This animatic was a very rough plan for how I wanted this scene to look. The final version includes more dramatic camera movement and realistic molecular interactions.
Process
Production & Post-production
Protein structures were pulled from PDB. Structural information was found for the bound and unbound enzyme structures, but after comparing the two structures in Chimera and creating a morph, the visual difference between a bound and unbound protein was too slight to be noticeable. The scene was broken down into many layers to lighten rendering times.
